Rock
Chips appear after a rock or other object strikes the windshield of a
vehicle. They appear as a small chip or pit, with no cracking or
spider-webbing coming from the location. In this case the windshield
can be saved by immediate repair. Without repair, a rock chip can
easily turn into a large running crack requiring a full replacement of
the windshield. If you have a rock chip, don't let it become a crack
and bring it in for repair.
